We cannot know if Peugeot intended for us to see its new 2008 crossover so early, but fact is, official pictures of the car are already making the rounds on the internet.
Peugeot previewed its new Nissan Juke and Opel / Vauxhall Mokka (Buick Encore in North America) with a thinly disguised concept model at last year's Paris Motor Show.
The final production model is very close in appearance, which means its exterior dimensions should not differ much from the study that measured 4,140mm (163-inches) long and 1,740mm (68.5-inches) wide.
At this point, we do not have specific details on the new 2008, but we anticipate that it will share its diesel and petrol engine range with the 208 supermini, topped out by a 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline unit rated for 154hp (156PS).
Peugeot has said that the 2008 will be manufactured first in France at its Mulhouse plant, then in China (Wuhan) and later in Brazil (Porto Real), with sales to start later this year.
The official world premiere of the new French crossover will take place at the Geneva Salon in the beginning of March.

Bit nondescript. Peugeot's on the ropes and their deathly embrace with GM Europe is exactly what it doesn't need...
I would much rather GM had brought something like this to market, and paid 30,000 base for it, then to see the garbage known as the Encore. They do not deserve our tax dollars, this is very upsetting to see them just make it by and never really go anywhere. That aside, the Peugeot looks very nice, would make a great little MPV here and would win over many CRV & RAV4 owners who want a more sophisticated product.
I like this!!! MUCH MUCH better than OPEL/Chevrolet!
Actually, i like it, looks awesome! Can someone explain why hasn't married PSA yet. I mean, its a no brainer!!!
Come on Peugeot come back to the USA !!
Totally agree! We are left with the "soccer mom" trims here in the US. Most of the companies are doing this.
I really love it!
