After demonstrating how easy it is to get a Nissan GT-R to plow its way out of a bank of snow, the crew at Team Ice Ricers is now sharing some short clips of a Godzilla dressed in its winter-camouflage costume sliding on Northern Sweden's icy roads as they're heading towards a local ice-course.
We can't see what kind of tires the GT-R is wearing (some commentators on YouTube are claiming that the Nissan sports car is fitted with special studded snow tires), but either way, the driver is sure pushing his luck under these adverse road and weather conditions.
Just slide over the break to watch all five video clips for yourself.

I assume that's "rider", not "ricer"..
"the driver is sure pushing his luck under these adverse road and weather conditions"
Uhm... yeah, for everyone who lives in a zone with four proper seasons, those "adverse road and weather conditions" are normal for 3-4 months every years.
Also, the videos are a waste of time.
Obviously don't know anything about the GT-R
It's the greatest car ever made, is there anything else to know?
Reindeer crossing :-)
Nice to have a supercar that can be driven hard under virtually any weather conditions on any paved or relatively smooth surface anywhere in the world. The Nissan is a true daily driver, that is far more capable than any other performance car in its price range, and especially so under extreme weather conditions like these. Try this in a BMW, Mercedes, Viper, Corvette, Ferrari etc. and you wind up flipped over upside down in a ditch waiting for the tow truck. Maybe you could get away with this in an all-wheel drive Porsche, but you certainly couldn't push it as hard as you can in the Nissan, given equal tires. The Mitsubishi Evo could probably give in a run because it's so much lighter, it's got about the only AWD system that's even close.
I wish somebody would do some ice racing comparisons of performance cars against the GT-R, then we would really get to see how badly embarrassed the competition would be.
I remember hearing about guys going out on frozen lakes in Minnesota when the GT-R first came out, they were hitting 190 mph, when the 500 and 600 hp cars with them hadn't even broken 150 mph. No doubt these new ones are even more capable on ice.
Oh man... It was -12C where I live and we just had a lovely snow storm and pretty much there are BMWs and Mercs allover and they were doing just fine - not only the AWD ones, but the RWD ones as well, I even saw my neighbour taking out his Quattroporte for a spin yesterday... But please, tell me more about that awesome GT-R you are talking about...
agreed, waste of time. who hasn't done all of those things in their car who likes having fun in the snow...i used to deliver paint in a chevy cargo van and i drifted on ramps with 100 gallons of paint in the back....doesnt take a gtr to do that
i have a 350z on nitto nt05 tires (that means no treat at all in the center) and i drove it in the winter. traction was never something i had, but it was rear wheel drive and i did just fine
