NAIAS 2013: Another New Mystery Model, or Perhaps Not…

After dropping a cropped image of the new Infiniti Q50 earlier today, Detroit auto show-spoiler nee scoop photographer Chris Doane came out with a second photo of a new model that we have yet to see in its full form.

Feel free to agree with us or speculate as you please, but judging from the exterior color and the liberal use of carbon fiber trims on the front grille and wheel arches, we believe that the car you see here is the new Toyota Furia sedan concept.

The Japanese carmaker has teased parts of the sedan model through a couple of photos and a video, but has revealed very little about it. Word has it, though, that it may hint at the design direction for the upcoming, next generation Corolla sedan for the North American market.

The Furia is just a blinged-up new Corolla.

Is this Nissan's new design concept that the Maurano will be based on? My second guess would be some kind of Scion concept. (It does look like the Furia but I can't fathom Toyota bringing that kind of front end to a mainstream compact.)
