Maybe we’re just not seeing it in these pictures, but we expected something a little bit different, a little bit more attractive from SsangYong when it released the first teaser sketches of its redesigned Rodius minivan on Wednesday, in advance of its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show in March.

These images of the new Rodius, which will be called ‘Korando Turismo’ in South Korea and Stavic in other select markets, were shot during what appears to be a media or a dealer presentation of the car in its homeland.

We will leave it you to decide if the new design works better or worse for you compared to the outgoing model, which is widely considered to be one of the ugliest production vehicles of our time.

SsangYong has said the second-generation Rodius will go on sale in Europe and other countries around the world this summer.
