As much as we all like the mechanical noises produced from well-tuned cars and motorcycles, we assume that there are times many of us could do without some of the obnoxious crack, snap and pop sounds echoed from certain exhaust pipes.
One such example comes to us through this video of a biker - presumably from the United Kingdom, who seems to like scaring pedestrians and road users while surprising others, with sudden burst of the throttle, usually at a red light.

Nice, ahah :)
Not sure if want to be funny, or a complete asshole
Sounds kinda farty. Some of the people crossing probably sharted.
no doubt a real load exhaust is an added safety factor for a bike rider - people often hear you coming before they see you
its just stupid and pointless
I'm coming!
I expected an asshole-like behavior, but it was surprisingly cool. He only touched the gas, made a "farty" sound and most importantly in general did it to remind people that they are crossing on red and should hurry it up/don't do it at all (a few people cross in the middle of the cycle without watching too).
Even the tunnel stuff was pretty funny and within reason, I approve :).
Doesn't hold water...loud pipes do not save lives, they simply irritate the hell out of others. Proficient motorcycle riding skills saves lives.
Judging by the fact that this is in Europe, most of these people are not used to a mildly noisy exhaust.
Want one. When the pedestrian people don't pay attention while crossing the road... For my 1,298cc Yaris Sedan... (sorry for the lame, lame finish)
Why is he "a complete asshole"? Most pedestrians a shit for brains and never look whilst crossing the road. Good on him for scaring the shit out of the idiots. They deserved it! I found it hilarious too!!!
Nothing wrong with what he's doing.. I would do the same if I had a similar sounding bike. He's not throttling it hard enough to annoy people...just giving them a harmless scare..which people usually laugh off.
Agree, expect the parts where he didnt stop for crossing pedestrians.
Seems like the original posted video is actually different: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZC_H8_6sJEU
If you had the oppourtunity you could not shy away from doing this, especially in the tunnels, but maybe in a Ferrari?!
