Earlier today, we showed you a teaser image of the new Leon SC (Sports Coupe), which is the three-door version of the Seat’s compact hatchback, shrouded in a white blanket.

From what we know, Seat will unveil the car online on Tuesday, ahead of its world premiere at the Geneva Auto Salon in March. At least that was the plan as some cheeky Czechs got hold of the first official images of the Leon SC and dropped them onto the web for our viewing pleasure.

This is the first ever three-door model in the Leon’s history that spans 14 years and three generations.

Compared to the regular Leon, and besides losing the rear doors and gaining lengthier front doors, the SC features a different design for the extended side window and from what we can tell, a more slanted rear window and tailgate design. Whether there are differences in terms of space and exterior dimensions, is something we will find out after we read Seat’s official release.

From there on, there are no other visible changes to the exterior design, while the interior is identical to that of the five-door Leon.

We expect the same to apply for the engine range, which will comprise diesel and petrol units, to be topped out later on by a high-performance Cupra, and possibly, Cupra R variants, both sporting a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine.
