Great Job Driving Into the Automatic Gates Genius

|

How can you miss a pair of seven, eight foot (over two meters) tall automatic gates slowly closing right in front of you?

Well, if you don't having a problem with your eyes, the only reasonable explanation we can give is that you were fooling around with your car's radio, you were texting, putting lipstick on or something of the sort that has absolutely nothing to do with driving a vehicle.

See what happened to the car and…the gates for yourself in the security camera footage that follows after the virtual jump.

How the hell do you miss that opening?

It looks to me the person just burgled the house and tried getting away quickly and someone must have triggered the gates to stop them

I wondered if the gate was swinging through it's arc at the right (or wrong) speed to the approaching car. In other words, the driver only ever saw the gate edge on, or rather didn't see the gate edge on? It sort of looks like that to me anyhoo

As some one already mentioned, driver probably saw the gate edge on & didn't see it.. noticing the light in front of the gate, looks like a low sun too - early morning or late afternoon.

Usually, the automatic gates have a flashing/blinking light to warn drivers when they are closing/opening. I can't see that light here so I assume the driver was not aware the gates were closing.
Or s/he tried to leave the premises in a hurry ;)
