The first-ever production hybrid model from Subaru, the all-new 2014 XV Crosstrek Hybrid, will be formally introduced in a world premiere at next week's New York International Auto Show (NYIAS), where it will be joined by an unnamed and never-before seen concept car.
Subaru is holding back on information on both cars, though, we do get a video and official photos on the hybridized 2014 XV Crosstrek, which will feature the Japanese brand's Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system.
To be honest, we're far more intrigued with Subaru's announcement on the world debut of a mystery new performance concept, which we hope will be a study for the next WRX / WRX STi models (see Carscoops' rendering of the sports sedan here) or for a powered-up version of the BRZ rear-wheel drive coupe. Either way, we won't complain…

Since it's a mild hybrid and the non-hybrid CVT version gets 25/33, I'll estimate the mild hybrid version will get 30/34MPG.
Notice that if it was a full hybrid the city # would very likely be larger than the hwy #, as well as the hwy# being bumped up because of a better engine.
