The idea of celebrating important milestones with limited edition models is an age-old tradition in the automotive world, and after Aston Martin, which celebrated its 100th birthday this year in Geneva, its turn for another sports car manufacturer – Wiesmann.

The German maker of “classic British sports cars” is celebrating its 25th year of existence with a special limited-run model, called the GT MF4-CS (short for Clubsport).

Continuing the somewhat contrived comparison with Aston Martin, if we may, there is one more similarity – the number of Clubsport models that Wiesmann is making also coincides with the company’s age, just like with the Vanquish Centenary.

The philosophy behind the car is the same as with all of the company’s other offerings, with an emphasis on weight reduction. However, only a modest 20 kg (44 pounds) are shed, courtesy of an all-carbon fiber roof, polycarbonate windows and doors without handles.

Still, at 1,350 kg (2,976 pounds), the MF4-CS is quite a light car, so the its BMW-sourced 420 hp V8 engine should have no problem pushing it from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in 4.4 seconds. The top speed is more than adequate for a car, which is primarily designed to go around corners, not necessarily storm the autobahn – 293 km/h (183 mph).

As previously stated, only 25 will ever be made, and you will be able to make one your own for €193,193 ($252,000), not including options.
