Based on the same platform as the Hyundai Azera sedan, the new Kia Cadenza is an understated car, which looks to have a quality interior and good space. Despite the fact that it is not yet available for purchase in the States, the Cadenza has been driven by Consumer Reports (CR), and it seems that they were pleased by the big Kia.

The European-esque exterior design is fuss-free, and the interior looks better than most other of the Korean automaker’s offerings. It is also packed full of features and gadgets, drives well (better, in fact than the Azera, according to CR) and it will likely be competitively priced, once it hits the US market within the next couple of months.

It’s a more restrained styling package compared to the extroverted Azera, so the group has the market sector pretty well covered. The Cadenza is getting only one engine option in the States, a 3.3-liter V6 with 293 hp, which comes connected to a standard six-speed automatic gearbox.
