There’s nothing wrong about being a vigilant citizen and alerting authorities when you think there’s a problem. That’s exactly what a woman from Baia Mare, Romania, did when she saw smoke coming out of a parked car’s engine compartment.

Suspecting a fire, she called the firefighters. What she didn’t know was that the old Audi A6 had an…”auxiliary heating system running on fuel” that had been turned on by the owner via a remote control.

After unsuccessfully using a crowbar to open the hood, they even brought a hydraulic extrication cutter to pop it open. Having done that, they poured gallons of water on the engine, but the stubborn smoke continued to come out.

The “puzzle” was solved by the car’s owner himself, who arrived at the scene only to find his vehicle vandalized by… firefighters. Follow the jump to see his reaction in the video below.
