Have you ever had such a powerful craving for seafood that you just couldn’t wait one second longer, and even once you pull up to the restaurant, you still feel like getting out of the car and walking inside is too much hassle?

If you haven’t, then this is what an extreme case of the above can turn into, as shown by a 71 year-old driver, who crashed her car right into such a restaurant, the Lure Fish House, in Camarillo, California.

Joking aside, the woman claims to have been trying to park her Tesla Model S outside the restaurant, and when she put her foot on the brake, the car apparently took off and made a big hole in the side of the building. Could this be another case of unintended acceleration, or is it more likely a less severe case of mixing up the pedals? We aren’t going to jump to any conclusions, but on the face of it, it seems very unlikely that the Tesla would accelerate on its own, as we have heard absolutely no reports regarding such a problem in the past.

We will have a definitive answer once the investigation of the incident concludes. The good news is that none of the four people who were on-board at the time of the crash was injured, but all were probably hungry, as we don’t think they ate at the Lure Fish House that day…
