Toyota has no fewer than 52 new releases to show off at the 2013 Shanghai motor show, including many models that are already available elsewhere in the world. The most eye-catching of these premieres has to be the FT-HT Yuejia, which is a concept for a six-seater vehicle designed to appeal to young Chinese buyers.

First off, it is striking to look at, proof that they are trying to shake their image of making boring kitchen appliance cars – well, at least when it comes to concept studies.

It’s also green, thanks to a trademark Toyota hybrid system, while also having very unique features like its frameless scissor doors, which open in a predictably spectacular fashion. However, the standout feature of the concept is the three-row seating arrangement, which is like that of the Fiat Multipla – one of that car’s only real qualities.

Not much is known about it aside from all of the above, but Toyota has apparently announced that it will inspire a production model to go on sale exclusively in the country – the time coordinates were not specified, so we don’t know when it will happen.
