Here’s another cool car from the world of eBay. It’s a Peugeot 404, from 1968, which had been in storage more than 25 years. The seller explains, “This 404 has been stored in a garage since 1985. The original owner purchased this car new in 1968 and drove it about 106k miles and then parked it in their garage in 1985, where it has sat until I retrieved it last week.”

He goes on to say that, the car is solid, with rust only coming in around the right headlight. The interior is praised for its originality and lack of visible wear, especially on the seats that apparently need a good cleaning and should look good.

However, the 404 has a lot of “dings and scratches” on the outside, but since it is the original paint finish, it has been left up to its next owner whether it gets new paint or not. Also, they hydraulic system which operates the brakes and clutch needs sorting out too – the engine is claimed to be a runner, though it is not specified which one it is on eBay.

Speaking of engines, this car could either have a 1.4- or 1.6-liter petrol engine, with 59 or 71 hp, as well as a fuel-injected version of the latter which pushes power up to 96 hp, allowing the 404 to reach a top speed of 167 km/h (104 mph).
