Peugeot today released the starting price for its new 2008 small crossover in the UK ahead of the car’s market launch on July 18. The feline-brand’s Nissan Juke fighter is available for order now from £12,995 OTR, with Peugeot stating that all 2008 models are “less than a £1,000 walk from an equivalent trim level 208 version”.

The 2008 Crossover range comprises four trim grades named Access+, Active, Allure and Feline, with buyers also having the option of six different engines, including the three-cylinder 1.2-liter petrol unit in 81hp (82PS), 108hp (110PS) and 128hp (130PS) output levels, and a 1.6-liter diesel with up to 115PS (113hp).

Certain 2008 Allure and Feline models will come equipped with Peugeot’s new Grip Control system as standard. This system electronically adjusts the engine’s torque delivery to the front wheels to optimize traction in poor road conditions.

Further details on the 2008’s UK lineup and specifications are to be announced closer to launch.
