SRT has built a one-off 2013 Viper GTS that will be sold at an auction benefiting the Sons of Italy Foundation. Unveiled at a gala organized by the foundation that represents men and women of Italian descent, the car features a special pearl white paint, black vapor chrome wheels and custom interior enhancements that “pay tribute to Italian heritage”, according to SRT’s description of the video posted on YouTube.

The seats are embellished with the colors of the Italian flag, while tri-color GTS badges are fitted to the front fenders. The interior is also fitted with a Harman Kardon audio system.  SRT doesn’t mention this, but some reports, including this one from Autoblog.com claim the car was originally built for Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne.

While we don’t know exactly why Marchionne would decide to give the car away, his recent apology to the Italian American community following an offensive comment may have something to do with it.
