While you could give a car featuring more extras than another model in the same range a new trim grade name, we guess using the “Special Edition” moniker sounds more alluring to buyers.

In Acura’s case, it’s the 2013 TL sedan that gains the “Special Edition” tag with this version slotting between the standard front wheel-drive (FWD) TL ($35,905) and the SH-AWD ($39,455) and the (FWD) TL with Technology Package ($39,635). It is available for order now with a suggested retail price (MSRP) of $37,405 that excludes an options and destination charge of $895.

The TL Special Edition sports 10-spoke, 18-inch alloy wheels, a color-matched deck lid spoiler and trunk-mounted Special Edition badging. It is offered in four exterior colors, namely the Bellanova White Pearl, Crystal Black Pearl, Graphite Luster Metallic and Silver Moon Metallic, all of which are matched with a leather-appointed Ebony interior with contrast stitching.

Standard amenities include a keyless access system with push-button start, power front seats and moonroof, a 276-watt audio system with eight speakers, dual-zone, dual-mode automatic climate control system, and a Multi-Information Display (MID) on the center cluster.
