GM's European arm released pricing for the Chevrolet Camaro SS (only the V8 is offered) facelift in Europe, with the base model fitted with manual transmission starting from €39,990 (equal to US$52,750) in Germany and £35,320 (US$54,900) in the United Kingdom.
The Camaro will go on sale across Europe toward the end of this year, with first deliveries in Germany scheduled for September 2013 and the UK in November.
The 2014 Camaro was given the first important redesign since the introduction of the fifth-generation model. It features a revised exterior appearance, which according to GM, "integrates high-performance aerodynamics, allowing for more efficient cooling and stability at high speeds".
Design changes include slimmer headlights, a wide lower grille and a narrower upper grille, plus hood vents that help reduce heat and aerodynamic lift. At the rear, Chevrolet has fitted a sculptural deck lid, horizontal lamps and a diffuser.
In Europe, the Camaro is only available with the 6.2-liter V8 engine producing 432 horsepower when fitted with a six-speed manual transmission and 405 horsepower in combination with the automatic transmission.
Standard equipment includes remote keyless entry, Chevrolet MyLink technology with a seven-inch touch-screen, rear-view camera, voice recognition system and color heads-up display, among others. Optional features include a navigation system with coverage of all Europe, Recaro leather sport bucket seats and remote engine start functionality.
