The Blue Oval has been hit with three different recalls over problems with engine block heaters, missing steering gear parts and a fire risk caused by fuel delivery modules, The Detroit News reported.

The biggest recall action is for fuel tanks that may leak. It covers more than 465,000 vehicles worldwide, 390,000 of which in the United States and about 23,000 in Canada, including the 2013 Ford Explorer, Taurus, Flex, Fusion and Police Interceptor crossovers and sedans, and Lincoln MKS, MKT and MKZ models.

Ford is said to have received around 600 complaints for fuel leaks from owners of the aforementioned vehicles as of March 31.

“The condition could result in customers detecting a fuel odor, or in some cases, observe evidence of a fuel leak on the ground,” Ford spokesperson Kelli Felker told the Detroit daily. “While a fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source may result in a fire, there have been no reports of fires. We are not aware of any accidents or injuries attributed to this condition.”

The other two recalls affect 500 examples (100 in the States and the rest in Canada) of the new 2013 Lincoln MKZ because the engine block heater’s electrical cord may crack in sub-zero temperatures, and 23 units (20 in the U.S.) of the 2013 Fusion sedan over steering gears that may have been manufactured without an internal retaining clip.
