GM has released pricing information for its refreshed 2014 Buick LaCrosse sedan, following the car’s world premiere at this year’s New York Auto Show in April and shortly before it goes on sale in the States.

Like its predecessor, the 2014MY LaCrosse offers buyers a choice of two engines, a 36mph highway 2.4-liter engine with eAssist or a 304hp 3.6-liter direct-injected V6, that returns 18 city/28 mpg highway for front-wheel drive models and 17/26 mpg for all-wheel drive, both linked to a standard six-speed automatic transmission.

The front-wheel drive 2.4L eAssist and 3.6L V6 carry the same base price tag at $34,060, including a $925 destination charge, which makes it about $500 more expensive than the outgoing model. However, if you don’t care about the 2014MY’s new front fascia, LED lights, chrome exhaust finishers, new seats, improved materials inside, different instrument panel and the latest infotainment system with swipe-and-drag controls, you can get an additional $1,500 discount on the remaining 2013MY LaCrosse sedans.

Among other standard features on the 2014 LaCrosse is a next-generation IntelliLink connectivity and an eight-inch reconfigurable color cluster display, while options include Semi-Aniline full leather seats in sangria color together with jet black synthetic suede on the headliner and dark stained Tamo Ash wood trims for $2,495.
