Gee, thanks Audi, for showing us absolutely nothing new in your latest teaser for the facelifted A8/S8 flagship sedan! At least the previous one showed us the much talked-about “MatrixLED” headlight, which it is going to feature, whereas this latest clip does nothing to make us any more interested than we already are.

There really is genuinely nothing new being shown here, as the outline of the veiled cars looks exactly like that of the current model. After all, this is a facelift of the D4 A8, a model that was just launched in 2010 – that doesn’t mean very much in luxury car years (the previous-gen A8, the D3, stayed in production for nearly 8 years).

The video shows two hidden shapes, which look identical from afar, meaning one is the regular A8, while the other is the monstrous S8 which gets carbon-ceramic brakes because it needs them Audi isn’t officially saying that the video is about their traditional top of the range offering, but it really can’t be anything else, with the Frankfurt auto show fast approaching – a great place for lots of people to see its new eyewear.
