The new Range Rover Sport has the same off-road capabilities as the larger Range Rover upon which it is based, while being quicker and more agile on the road. Moreover, it’s more economical too. So, if the Sport is a good all-round SUV, does this mean that buyers will prefer it over the more expensive Range Rover?

This is the question the crew from XCAR posed while shooting a review of the Sport. The Range Rover may be more comfortable and have a more imposing presence, but does that really matter to the buyer when the Sport is priced from £51,550 (€60,665) in the UK, while the Range Rover starts from £71,310 (€83,905)?

Sure enough, the Sport has its downsides compared to the flagship Range Rover such as the slightly lower prestige and refinement, but do these justify such a price difference?

Although the Range Rover is the undisputed master of its segment, we have to admit XCAR presenter Alex Goy may have a point here. You can tell us your opinion after watching the video below.
