We were patiently waiting for Alfa Romeo to publish the second part of the 4C publicity stunt in which endurance-racing driver Marc Gené picked up a young man from the street and took him for a ride, first on the roads of Madrid, Spain, and then on a racetrack. A month and-a-half later, here it is; part two.

And if that isn’t enough to satisfy your thirst for the 4C, the Italians have released a separate clip shot during the Goodwood Festival of Speed in which we see the mid-engined sports car roaring up the hill climb.

The super-lightweight Alfa (only 895 kg or 1,973 lbs) goes on sale in Europe during the second half of September, with the U.S. version debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November. Alfa has said that U.S. deliveries will begin before the end of the year, but given the company’s prior history of broken promises, it’s probably better to wait and see if it comes through this time…
