There are many reports on the web about the housing crisis in Israel, where high property prices are keeping the people from buying. It is in times like this when ingenuity comes into play, and viewed cleverly, any kind of structure can be ultimately turned or incorporated into a house.

If said structure also happens to come with watertight windows, a regular shape and a cavernous interior, such as that of a Man NL202 city bus, then one can even get creative and not only concentrate on function.

What you see in the gallery below is the result of two Israeli women’s quest to find a new residence and bring it up to a high standard as quickly and cheaply as possible. The bus itself was a wreck and had been discarded, so it didn’t weigh too heavily on the wallet and cleaned up nicely. It has everything you could ever need from small-sized house, all of the amenities, and it’s all very minimalist and well arranged, so as to not only look nice and smart, but also be practical and not take up too much room.

However, judging by what has been done to the dashboard area, it’s clear that this bus isn’t going anywhere under its own power – at least the headlights work…

So, if you live in Sharon, Israel and are looking for moderately-affordable living accommodations, then you’re in luck, because it’s for sale. They are asking the equivalent of $300,000 for it.
