The ever so mildly restyled BMW 5-Series range that debuted earlier this year is being showcased in so-called “launchfilm” video. Just like in the case of the new 4-Series Coupe and the X5 SAV, the 5-Series is presented in a variety of environments, from cities to the open roads.

We first get to see the 5-Series sedan rolling on city streets and showing some of its features like the head-up display and the Driving Experience Control system, which changes the car’s feel when the driver chooses between Comfort and Sport modes.

The landscape then changes and the 5-Series Touring appears in a holiday-like seaside setting, with BMW demonstrating the contactless opening and closing tailgate feature.

Finally, the newest (but not the prettiest) member of the 5-Series family, the Gran Turismo, is shown on a winding mountain road and then in the city, where features like Message Dictation and Driving Assistant Plus with Traffic Jam Assistant come in handy.
