The Porsche Panamera doesn’t really make a case for itself visually, as its bulbous rear end ruins an otherwise clean and restrained package. From the front, it looks like any other Porsche, really, and you couldn’t mistake it for anything else – they want you to see a bit of 911 in each and every single one of their cars.

Now, with the recent facelift it has received, Porsche’s large liftback has improved somewhat, in the key problem area, with slimmer rear lights, and a flatter rear window, both of which help slim it up somewhat. Still, we asked you if you thought it had done the trick, and we actually got a very close result with our poll.

Now, the German manufacturer has released a video in which it praises itself for having designed the Panamera the way it is…

We’re still not convinced by its exterior shape, even if the interior is top notch, along with the powertrain and handling – hopefully the next-gen car will have a bit of the Panamera Sport Turismo concept in it, as that showed some genuine promise.
