Matt Farah is doing a review of the new C7 Corvette Stingray, but that still seems to be stuck in the editing phase for now. However, the crew over at The Smoking Tire thoroughly justified their name in the latest ‘Vette, putting together a compilation of burnouts that were performed during the actual test drive.

Currently still in pre-production form, the Stingray had no problem lighting up its back tires, and keeping the burnout going with a bit of help from the brake pedal.

The cost of tires is irrelevant here, because as Matt himself (probably) replies to one of the comments, “This video is worth way more to GM than the cost of a set of tires (which they get for ridiculously cheap, obviously).”

Moreover, like the video of the Lamborghini Veneno we recently posted, the Stingray is a new and interesting car, and we’re scouring the web every day trying to find somebody who shows it off or knows anything new about it. This excitement will probably die down, though, once production commences and the cars start reaching customer hands.
