The Datsun Go (pictured in the sketch above) was unwrapped not long ago, and judging by the pictures, it’s not half-bad-looking, both inside and out. Design-wise, it’s clearly a Nissan, and I wonder what inspired them to do draw it up the way they did – a bulldog statuette wearing sunglasses was used as inspiration for the look of the Cube, so really anything goes.

Now, Nissan has announced that the Datsun lineup will receive a second a model, one that will be revealed on September 17 in Indonesia, the country for which it was specifically designed.

While we don’t know what sort of car it is until its reveal date, we do know that it will cost “below 100 Million Indonesian rupiah,” which equates to $8,620 / €6,600, when it will go on sale later in 2014. It will be the first of two models to be offered in in the country during the course of the same year.

Priced above the Go, which will go on sale before the end of 2013 for the equivalent of $6,700 / €5,100, it is fair to assume that this new model will offer something more, simply because of its higher price – some sort of sedan version would definitely make a lot of sense…
