Jaguar Reminds Us What Driving Really Means in New Short Film "Escapism"

| |

Following the short action movie called “Desire” with the Jaguar F-Type, the British carmaker has released another production called “Escapism”. The film is centered on the relaxing effect that driving has on David Gandy, a British model who was invited to steer one of Jaguar Heritage Racing team’s cars at this year’s Mille Miglia – the XK120.

In the video, Gandy drives the F-Type and iconic Jaguar sports cars from the past, including the C-Type, E-Type and XKSS, during a road trip that starts at dusk and features some beautiful shots. He says that driving sports cars is his number one passion in life because it allows him to escape from his hectic life and the “craziness of London.”

It’s an interesting video because it reminds us that driving means freedom (provided one finds a clear road), with Gandy even comparing it to meditation.

That being said, I’m curious to know when was the last time you got into your car and drove just for the sake of it?
