The Corvette an excellent driver’s car? Perhaps not so much in the past, but that seems to be the general consensus for the all-new 2014 Corvette Stingray, at least among U.S.-based reviewers, and Motor Trend’s Head 2 Head conclusion is no different.

In the publication’s latest test, Carlos Lago and Randy Pobst placed the seventh generation Corvette up against the far more expensive, exclusive, and significantly more powerful Ferrari F12 with its 731hp (741PS) 6.3-liter V12, and one of the world’s best all-round sports cars, the Porsche 911 Carrera 4S with AWD and a 395hp (400PS) 3.8L flat six.

For your reference, as tested, the 460hp Corvette C7 is priced at $68,775 (base price: $54,795), the F12berlinetta at $434,144 (base price: $332,638) and the 911 C4S at $151,260 (base price: $106,580).
