Everybody knows what they’re buying into with a copy of any Grand Theft Auto game – you see and do a lot of stuff you shouldn’t see or do in real life, and are rewarded for it with more of the same. Still, it has yet to be proven that video games have a clear impact on the psyche, causing players to imitate what they do in the virtual world.

What it has done is inspire a few blokes from the UK to pull a little bit of a prank on several unsuspecting drivers in London. We know you’re imagining that any GTA-related prank, especially one that reenacts part of what goes on in the game, one of its core mechanics in fact, getting into other people’s cars, would be dangerous, and if you scroll down and watch the video, you will be proven right.

In the video, you will see how real people react in GTA-esque situations, while it also shows what could be implemented in the future series titles to keep the concept fresh – conning people out of their car using mere words seems like a big omission in the game, and one that forces you to be violent each and every time you want a car that’s being driven by somebody else (in the game, of course).

In addition, there seems to be a bug in the code at the end, if you will, because the two cops seem to appear out of nowhere…
