If not all, most manufacturer-produced videos promise that their products will deliver you the world and then some more. Renault’s clip on the new Initiale Paris Concept that previews the design of the next-generation Espace, a large MPV with a hint or two of crossover vehicles in its conception, is no exception.

The team behind Renault’s Frankfurt Motor Show study, including the brand’s design chief Laurens van den Acker, talk about the Initiale Paris, what inspired them, he car’s highlights and what to expect from the production Espace.

Axel Breun, design director of concept cars at Renault says that, “this is a car which will herald Renault’s return to the high-end market”, which is a rather bold statement, especially if you consider the French brand’s history of failed attempts in entering the luxury segment.

Whether the next Espace will manage to break…Renault’s tradition, is something we will see in due time.
