Remember when we posted a video of the new Maserati Ghibli being driven around an overcast Rotterdam, which later turned into a promo? It seems to be a very common location for spot shooting, as the video we found and posted below reveals.

It shows the all-new Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG, the car whose engine is shrouded in mystery, and I can’t really understand why, since only sheiks are going to buy it (not really a joke). It will be a V12 with two turbos, and power probably midway between 600 and 650 hp – displacement may drop to under six liters too…

Besides that, it looks no different from the outside, and you really have to be a brand aficionado to spot the minimal cosmetic differences between this, the S65 and the S63 AMG, which will be a much more common sight. Frankly, the latter is a car of much more interest than the oh-so elitist S65 – not that the S63 isn’t, but just the idea behind the more powerful car makes it stand out in that way.

We see the S65 has new rims, and the ever-present badging on the side, which reads “V12 BiTurbo,” designed to make S320 CDI buyers feel inadequate, and it does!

The description of the video explains that there are more differences which are not immediately apparent, including “additional chrome on the front grille, shiny mesh on the front bumper,” and probably a lot more very subtle ones that nobody really genuinely cares about.
