Last night, Jaguar uploaded the first uncovered photo of the new C-X17 Sport Crossover Concept on its media website, prior to the study’s roll out in front of the public at next week’s Frankfurt Motor Show.

Today, one of our readers pointed us to an Imageshack picture of what we believe to be the second official image of Jaguar’s attempt in designing a crossover model – that or someone is extremely talented with rendering programs…

Said image was rather small but we blew it up (and kind of blurred it in the process…) for a somewhat better look at the styling, which is typical 21st century Jaguar (think XF and the latest XJ).

Officially, the British company is saying that the concept “illustrates the diversity of vehicles that could be produced” using the new modular aluminum architecture upon which it is built, but unofficially, we hear that a crossover is being considered. The same architecture will be used for the brand’s BMW 3-Series rival dubbed XS, test mules of which have already been spotted testing on the road.
