Describing a 7,210-lbs (3,270-kg) pickup truck as a “joy to drive” will certainly raise some eyebrows among car enthusiasts. However, the description does not apply to any pickup truck, but the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor.

And oh, it’s not any Raptor, but the Shelby-modified version that has 164 more horsepower than the standard model, for a total of 575hp.

Extra power comes from a supercharger attached to the 6.2-liter V8, but with that also comes a premium of $17,995 (€13,260) over the standard model’s base price of $44,035 (€32,445). Having a 575hp pickup truck doesn’t seem to make much sense, but if we’re to believe the enthusiastic MotorTrend reviewer, driving the Shelby Raptor is so fun that it makes all its other inconveniences (like parking and driving it in the city) look minor in comparison.
