You could call them the men in lime-green, but that doesn’t sound right, does it… Anyway, the people running the Highway Agency in Britain will employ the use of a new batch of 30 Mitsubishi Shogun SUVs, or as it’s known in other markets, the Pajero.

The bespoke Shoguns come with special light bars, grill lights and Highways Agency livery, with each example taking up to 24 hours to complete.

“The Shogun is a tough, practical vehicle but it is also extremely comfortable to drive,” said Dan Pigot, Corporate Sales Manager at Mitsubishi Motors in the UK. “For eight hours of the day the vehicle is their office so it needs to be comfortable and the feedback from the traffic officers is that they really like the Shoguns.”

Mitsubishi seems to be a beloved brand among government agencies as earlier this year, the Japanese firm supplied 138 specialist vehicles to the Environment Agency, including 70 new Outlanders.
