The wagon or estate is seen as an oddball choice in the US, despite the fact that so many people drive even larger SUVs and pickups. However, I bet many would understand your decision to part with your cash for this Merceds Benz W123 from 1980.

You see, the estate’s turbocharged 3-liter diesel engine has been ripped out and replaced by a 5.7-liter Chevy V8.

What’s nice about it is that, despite having a reported three times the factory power output, this ten-year long project, doesn’t show it on the outside at all – it’s a sleeper; even if you open the hood, you’ll notice it still retains the factory air cleaner cover. It does have larger aftermarket rims and four disk brakes that you will notice if you start paying attention to details.

The seller says it’s only covered 500 miles (~800 km) since the build was completed and he wants $12,900 for it on eBay if you want to buy it now; you can barter, though, since the sales ad does allow for ‘making an offer.’
