Whatever you do, please do not share this story with anyone remotely affiliated with the manufacturing, selling or even having a hobby related to replica cars. We all know how most Pontiac Fieros end up

You see, this isn’t your typical Pontiac Fiero survivor; it’s a time capsule, as the 1984 Fiero Pace Car Edition we found for sale here in Massachusetts hasn’t even been broken in with just 171 miles (275 km) on the odometer!

In fact, as pointed out by the seller of the mid-engine model, Marc Schiliro’s Classic Cars, it wasn’t even dealer prepped:

“This car was never dealer prepped and still retains the original window sticker on the driver’s side window, plastic on the seats, plastic with cardboard pieces on the carpet, chalk mark on the tires and the front license plate was never installed!,” says Marc Schiliro.

And how did this practically unused Fiero land in the hands of Schiliro?

“I recently sold a beautiful 1996 Jaguar XJS convertible to a gentleman in PA,” says the owner of the dealership.

“During a conversation we were having I told him I collect many vehicles from the 80’s and 90’s such as a Camaros, Mustangs, Trans Ams, Grand Nationals and Fieros.  A few days later he was having breakfast and was reading the classifieds section of his newspaper when he stumbled across a 1984 Pontiac Fiero Pace Car being sold locally.  The ad read the car was 100% original with 170 miles.  It also stated it was never dealer prepped and was a true time capsule.  He immediately thought of me since I mentioned I collected Fiero’s and provided me the sellers information so I could call him.  He was also classic car collector and was looking to move a few cars for space purposes.  I jumped on the opportunity and purchased the car and the rest is history,” Schiliro concluded.

The Fiero has the 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine paired to an optional automatic transmission and was ordered with the $2,895 Pace Car Edition package. The MSRP back in 1984 was $9,587, but with all the extras, it ended up costing $14,895. Right now, it’s listed for sale on eBay for $26,900.
