Pagani’s supercars have always had two seats, and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future, as far as we know. But what if the Italian brand wanted to shake things up and venture into new fields with a new car adding pair of seats at the back, how would that work out?

It’s not that it hasn’t been done before – Ferrari produced the 2+2 mid-engine Mondial, while the 1970s Lamborghini Urraco and the current Lotus Evora both combine 2+2 seating with a rear-mid engine setup.

The design study pictured here for a 2+2 Pagani model was made by Makrand Patil (we’ve also showed you his work on this Mahinda study), an Indian designer who recently graduated from IED Torino and now spends his time in Italy, as part of project while in school.

Take a look at it below and tell us what you think about the idea.
