Nissan is encroaching well into Porsche 911 Turbo (MSRP: $148,300) pricing territory with the new limited production 2015 GT-R NISMO that carries an MSRP of $149,990 (equal to €108,500), excluding a destination and handling fee* of $1,595 (and of course, taxes).

That’s a little over $48,000 more than the base 2015 GT-R Premium that starts at $101,700, for an increase of 55 horsepower and 18 lb-ft of torque from the twin-turbo’d 3.8-liter V6 that delivers 592hp (600PS) and 481 lb-ft of torque in the NISMO, along with enhanced aerodynamics, body reinforcement, suspension refinements and other goods like the racing-style RECARO seats.

It’s the fastest GT-R ever built by Nissan, and according to the Japanese brand, the holder of the volume production car lap record at the Nürburgring with a time of 7:08.679.

First deliveries of the GT-R Nismo in the States will take place on July 31, the same date that the 2015MY version of the GT-R Track Edition with an MSRP of $115,710 and a variety of upgrades such as a tuned suspension, special brake cooling guides, front spoiler with carbon fiber air ducts, carbon fiber trunklid and spoiler, goes on sale.
