Nissan and it’s Nismo arm are keeping us busy today with new car price announcements. After the 2015 GT-R Nismo, the Japanese brand revealed that the 2014 Juke Nismo RS, the third model of the 2014 Juke lineup, carries a base sticker of $26,120, excluding an $810 destination and handling fee.
The price corresponds to the standard front-wheel drive model with six-speed manual gearbox. The all-wheel drive Juke Nismo RS featuring the XTronic CVT starts from $28,120 plus destination and handling.
Compared to the standard 197hp Juke Nismo, the Juke Nismo RS’ 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline engine produces 215 horsepower and 210 lb-ft (284 Nm) of torque between 3,600 – 4,800 rpm, with the manual version benefitting from a Helical Limited-Slip Differential. The RS also offers more structural rigidity and larger brakes.
The suspension and steering have been tuned to provide a more agile driving feel, but Nissan says that it doesn’t compromise ride comfort and noise, vibration and harshness (NVH). Spring rates and damping force have been reset and the front suspension link reinforced to enhance steering feel and response.
The interior features Recaro front seats, carbon fiber-look finishers, special red-and-black color theme with suede, Alcantara and leather appointments.
