Completing the trio of announcements from partners PSA Peugeot-Citroen and Toyota on their co-developed city cars, is a confirmation from the Japanese firm that the new Aygo will have its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show in March.

Unlike Citroen that had nothing to share other than telling us about the scheduled debut, Toyota is being a bit more playful with the release of a darkened teaser photo depicting the city car’s face.

From this end, the Aygo appears to adopt the same pointy styling used on a number of recent Toyota concepts such as the Corolla Furia and FT-HT Yejia.

We still can’t tell whether the Citroën C1, Peugeot 108 (the only one we’ve seen so far) and Toyota Aygo counterparts will mainly differ in their front end styling or if each car has a distinct body and interior as well.

Besides competing against themselves, the three models will face stiff competition from the VW Up! series and the upcoming Smart FourFour and Renault Twingo.
