How many of you were pleasantly surprised today to find out that Citroën’s production C4 Cactus compact crossover stayed true to the original concept we saw last year- or if you prefer, the fact that the French thought of the box?

Now, raise your hands if similar thoughts crossed your mind when you saw the first photos of the all-new 2015 Subaru Legacy; anyone?

When Subaru dropped the curtains on the 2015 Subaru Legacy Concept at last November’s LA Auto Show, we were impressed with what we saw, but at the same time, fully aware of the brand’s uninspiring approach to design in real life – heck, we even posted about it mentioning their previous efforts, and I quote:

“Subaru often tries to build up a lot of excitement about upcoming models with its concept cars, only to hugely disappoint with the production versions – should we remind you of the 2010 LA Auto Show Impreza and this year’s WRX studies? We all know how these cars turned out

I’m not saying that the design of the new model is necessarily bad or that it doesn’t look better /sleeker than the bloated fifth generation Legacy it replaces (in these pictures, at least), but after having viewed the concept, it leaves behind a feeling of missed opportunity…

But hey; maybe that’s just me, so do voice your own thoughts in the comments area below.
