Czech privateer rally driver Martin Prokop had a tricky moment during the first day of the 2014 Rally Sweden (February 5-8) when he lost control of his Ford Fiesta and got stuck in a ditch.

He would have remained there until the stage was over had it not been for the helpful spectators who immediately ran to get the car out of the snow. It took some effort, but after a while, they managed to put the Fiesta back on the road so that Prokop could continue the rally.

So what do you think happened next? Well, Prokop had no more time to lose so he stomped on the gas pedal and got away, pulling two unfortunate spectators with him, as the two didn’t even have the time to let go of the ropes they used to pull the car out.

However, after the incident, Prokop posted a message on his Facebook page in which he thanked spectators for their help and apologized to those he towed unintentionally. You know how they say, better late than never…
