Somebody was bound to very quickly add some big wheels and a deeper, lower bumper to the recently-revealed all-new, rear-engined and rear-driven Renault Twingo. Even before it was officially unveiled, speculation raged on regarding its transformation into a hot hatch, bearing the fabled RenaultSport (RS) badge.

Among the first to achieve a notable result is X-Tomi, who approached a regular new Twingo photo and added a Clio RS-esque front bumper, an RS logo underneath the main rhombus/diamond badge and some bigger wheels that are also borrowed from the bigger Renault hatch. Blacked out windows complete the look here.

It’s nothing too fancy, but then again, we don’t expect the upcoming Twingo RS, if it really does get made, to be too extreme – who knows what unwanted handling characteristics it could foster if it’s given too much power…

One thing’s for sure: they’d better implement the traction and stability control programs in such a way that they can be fully disabled when the situation (read: empty parking lot) calls for it.

I personally am hoping that Renault will go a little bit crazier with the styling of the actual car; this rendering is okay, but a bit restrained – would make this an instant cult classic, coveted all around the world, from Vancouver to Vilnius and beyond.
