Behold one of the finest looking cars at this (…and last) year’s Geneva Motor Show: the luscious Alfa Romeo Disco Volante from Italian coachbuilder and design firm, Touring Superleggera.

Just to tickle our opulent imagination and blank pockets, Touring Superleggera brought a different example of the Disco Volante to Switzerland, this one featuring a new green and gold livery.

The made-to-order only Disco Volante is built on the platform and running gear of the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione, with the unmodified 4.7-liter V8 pushing out 444-horses (450PS) and 480Nm (354 lb-ft) of torque towards the rear axle.

Its beautiful design is inspired by the original Alfa Romeo Disco Volante C52 Coupé from 1952 – that’s the red-colored car you see in the first picture, and which, according to Touring Superleggera, is on loan from the Museo Alfa Romeo.
