The web is still short on McLaren 650S videos, but one of the first we’ve seen actually shows the car in motion and lets us hear the engine is posted below.

It’s nothing fancy, but a short squirt of acceleration on a stretch of (almost) straight and soaking wet tarmac, where the car struggles for grip at first, then starts getting very small, quite quickly.

Noise-wise, it sounds like the other two cars that use the 3.8-liter V8, the 12C and the P1, though, probably a bit more like the latter, if you really listen.

However, we’ll have no idea what it’s actually like, until it falls into the hands of at least a couple of reviewers whose impressions we’ll be able to gauge and compare – more than a month has already passed since its reveal, and we’re still waiting on the very first one of those.
