If you have the dough to spare, you can’t go wrong with a rare supercar like the 2000MY Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR of which only 25 examples were made between 1998 and 1999 in order to meet homologation standards for the brand’s participation in the FIA GT1 class.

This car is number 17 and it has less than 1,500 miles on the odo, according to the sellers at Globalautosports in Florida, who are asking a cool $1.49 million (about €1.1 million) to let this silver arrow out of their hands.

It may be a 15-year-old car, but don’t forget that the CLK GTR was a purebred racer lightly modified for road-use with the street-legal model employing the use of a bigger displacement 6.9-liter V12 AMG engine (instead of the racer’s 6.0L) without a racing air restrictor that pumped out 604hp (612PS) and 775Nm (572 lb-ft).

At the time, the brand with the star promised a 0-100 km/h (62mph) sprint in 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 320km/h (199mph).
