We had a hunch that something of the tablet-sort was hiding under the dashboard covers of the last prototype of the 2015 Mercedes-Benz M-Class SUV that we spied back in December of 2013, and now, we can finally show you what it looks like.

In the process of adding the now standard across most of its range, free-standing touch-screen for the revised Command infotainment system, Mercedes revamped the entire center console. We also noticed the reshaped, three-spoke steering wheel.

For the outside, these spy pictures suggest Mercedes will refresh the styling of the luxury SUV’s front end with changes to the hood, bumper and grille. There’s nothing to talk about the rest of the body, which appears to remain unchanged, but we won’t know for sure until the wraps come off.

In terms of engines, we expect the current lineup to be carried over, possibly with some revisions to improve efficiency and CO2 emissions.
