Having recently celebrated the production of the 50,000th VF Commodore after 10 months of sale in Australia, Holden has presented a new special edition version of the series named “Storm” that’s available on all body styles, including the sedan, ute (pickup truck) and Sportwagon.

“So far this year, VF sales are up 62.3% which is over 3,000 units. That’s more than any other car in the market and the Storm Special Edition will help add to that success”, commented Philip Brook, Holden Executive Director of Vehicle Sales.

The new Storm Edition models will temporarily replace the SV6 and SS Commodores offering more standard kit and some styling tweaks including different 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels and front fog-lights with chrome trimmings, bespoke upholstery with red stitching and a navigation system.

Powertrains remain unchanged with the SV6 sporting a 3.6-liter V6 engine producing 210kW (282hp) paired to either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission, and the SS a 6.0-liter V8 churning out 270kW (362hp) when hooked up to a six-speed manual, and 260kW (349hp) when fitted with the optional auto.
